Norita Erna Ginter-Kushnak, 85, of Great Falls passed away on May 17, 2022. Norita was born on November 11, 1936, in Dresden, Germany to Herbert R. and Erna M. (Mueller) Schumann. She attended her primary and secondary schooling in Germany. When she moved to Great Falls, Norita worked for the Viking Shop for 38 years. She also opened her own business, Rita’s Boutique, Imports & Gifts from Around the World. Norita sang in the church choir at First Congregational Church and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She enjoyed golfing, skiing, camping, and feeding the birds. True to her giving spirit, she would regularly purchase groceries and deliver them to the poor and homeless in town. Norita is survived by her husband, Gregory Kushnak of Conrad and Great Falls; son, Roy A. (Chikako) Miller of Trinidad, CO; sister, Silvia Ellmore of Oceanside, CA; grandson, Terrance Miller of Trinidad, Co; and step-daughter, Joanne Ginter. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Monica Miller. A funeral liturgy will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Holy Spirit Catholic Church Columbarium. Memorials in Norita’s name may be made to the Great Falls Rescue Mission (408 2nd Ave S, Great Falls, MT 59405) or the Great Falls Community Food Bank (1620 12th Ave N, Great Falls, MT 59401).
