Nicole Amanda Sangret, aged 38, of Great Falls, Montana, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2025, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. She was born on April 27, 1986, in Craig, Colorado and raised in Great Falls, where she attended Great Falls High and received her GED. Nicole was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John and Gladys Cantrell, and her paternal grandparents, Bruce Sangret and Gladys Spearson.
Nicole was the second of four girls to her parents, and her greatest joy in life was being a mother. She is survived by her parents, Roger and Jonnie Sangret; sisters, Sancha Valenzuela of Billings, Samantha Wolterling of Wilsonville, Oregon, and Courtney Sangret of Great Falls; her children, Elian Sangret (Michaela Vig), Billy and Navean Keats of Great Falls, and Melissa Welsh of Billings; grandchildren, Landon Vig and Elian Sangret, Jr. Nicole and her children’s father, Billy Keats, remained close while co-parenting their children. She also leaves behind many cherished aunties and uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom she loved and held a special place in her heart.
Nicole dedicated her professional life to serving others, working for Benefis Healthcare System in the central scheduling department and previously as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her kind and compassionate nature made her a bright light to everyone she encountered—clients, coworkers, and loved ones alike. As a strong-willed, feisty young woman, she stood strong in her values and was not afraid to speak her mind. It is that strong will that enabled her to courageously fight this battle.
Nicole had a deep love for the outdoors and embraced every opportunity to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. She loved fishing, camping, swimming, traveling, and exploring new places.
As a member of Praise Tabernacle Church, Nicole was a preacher and devoted much of her time working in the youth and children’s ministry. Her passion for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ was unwavering, and she lived her faith daily through her words, actions, and service to others. Nicole had a deep love, respect, and appreciation for her spiritual parents, Pastor Ron and Sister, Cindy Erpelding whom she had a very special relationship with. A special thank you to the entire congregation for the unending love, prayer, and dedication to Nicole’s life.
A viewing will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Schnider Funeral Home in Great Falls. Funeral services to celebrate Nicole’s life will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Praise Tabernacle Church (2121 13th St. S., Great Falls, MT). A reception will take place immediately afterward at the Knights of Columbus Hall (906 Central Ave West, Great Falls, MT), where family and friends will gather to honor and remember Nicole’s incredible life. Nicole will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her faith, warmth, and strength will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
The family would like to express deep gratitude to all the physicians and nursing staff at Benefis Healthcare, Sletten Cancer Center, and the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City for the compassionate care and dedication they gave to Nicole and all the other patients and families fighting this battle!
