Neil Edward Curry, 42, of Great Falls an engineer, died of injuries received in an auto accident near Conrad on Wednesday, October 5, 2011.His memorial services will be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception following at Black Eagle Community Center. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Born and raised in Great Falls, MT, Neil attended Great Falls High, graduating in 1987. At Montana State University he obtained a civil engineering degree in 1992. After obtaining his PE, he earned a Master's designation in structural engineering, also from MSU.During summer months while at college, Neil worked in the Bob Marshall Wilderness on a trail crew with the Lewis & Clark National Forest. In 1988, he was put in command of a crew in the Gates Park Fire along the North Fork of the Sun River.Neil's professional career started with the Montana Department of Transportation, in Helena, where he designed bridges for 9 years. In 2001 he joined TD&H Engineering in Great Falls. Neil was the Branch manager and a partner. He engineered numerous major projects throughout the State of Montana.Neil met Wende in Helena and they married in 1997. Their three children, Taylor, Alysa and Courtney are a tribute to Neil and how he lived his life. He gave them compassion, wisdom, strength, and patience, that will lead them skillfully through life.Neil was an avid and skilled outdoorsman, who shared his love of the rivers and mountains of Montana with everyone he knew, friends and family. He was truly at home at his family cabin in Logging Creek.Those left behind include his wife Wende and children, Taylor, Alysa and Courtney; his mother, Dorothy; brothers Ryan and Greg (Dawn and Sam). Along with his many close friends, relatives and colleagues we know he is now with his father, Dennis Curry.A memorial fund has been established at Montana Federal Credit Union for his children's college funds. Checks can be made out to Curry Kids College Fund and sent to the credit union at 901 8th Avenue south in Great Falls.
