Nada Pitt of Great Falls passed away after a brief period of declining health on Friday, August 6, 2021. She had been visiting comfortably with her children that afternoon and then requested to be transferred to her bed for an afternoon nap during which she passed away peacefully. Nada was born October 8, 1934, in Globe, Arizona to Helen and Spiro Vukovich, the youngest of four children. She graduated from Globe High School in 1952. She was involved in student government, was a student body officer, and was class valedictorian. In 1956, she received a degree in business education from the University of Arizona. She was an active member of her social sorority Delta Delta Delta. She taught business courses in high school, and also worked as a secretary. She married Paul Pitt on March 26, 1959. As Paul was a career Air Force officer, they made their home in numerous states and in Germany. In Germany they welcomed two children. A son, Mark was born in March of 1963 and a daughter, Paula was born in November of 1964. As an Air Force wife, she was involved in many activities and volunteer work. She continued volunteer work in her retirement. When her children were in school, PTA was her main focus. She enjoyed going to CMR football and basketball games, golfing, and going on golf trips with her friends. She enjoyed traveling, particularly going to Sanibel Island, Florida, and memorable trips to Italy, Paris, and London. Nada was an absolutely wonderful and loving mother. She was thoughtful, kind, and generous to strangers and friends alike. In the last several years she enjoyed frequent visits from children Mark and Paula. She especially enjoyed visits that included two of her favorite Beagles, Boomer and CoCo. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her best. She told a dear friend “I am ready to take my trip to Heaven,” just one day before she passed. She most certainly was looking forward to reuniting with her late husband, Paul. He was the love of her life and they enjoyed 29 happy years of marriage. She is survived by her son, Mark of Blacksburg, Virginia; and daughter, Paula (Bill Kueber) of Boise, Idaho; sisters-in-law, Ida and Nancy Vukovich, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul on April 19, 1988; a sister, Desanka “Dee” Jones; and brothers, Louis and Duke Vukovich. Schnider Funeral Home handled the arrangements. A private graveside service for the family was held on Friday, August 13, at 10:00 a.m. at Highland Cemetery.
