Myla Mae Molkjer Cole passed away on November 30, 2023, in Great Falls, MT surrounded by her family. She was born on June 11, 1943, to Nels Molkjer and Eloise B. Farrell Molkjer, in their car in Chinook, MT on the way to the hospital. She was raised on the family farm near Turner, MT.
Myla attended school in Harlem and graduated from Harlem High School in 1961. She continued her education at Billings Business College and Arapahoe Community College. She met Edward “Eddie” in high school, and they got married in 1963. After their two sons were born, they made their home in Englewood, CO where their daughter was born. They lived there for several years until they divorced. Myla then moved back to Montana with her kids to be near family. She raised her family in Great Falls, MT and lived there for her remaining 46 years. Myla especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed attending all of their activities and sporting events.
She is survived by her children, Edward J. Cole, Jr., Shawn G. Cole, and Ann Marie Cole Norton; grandchildren, Edward Cole Carlson, Alexis Norton, Cole Norton, and Madison Rae Cole; and sister, Sharleen Molkjer Cole
She was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband, Edward; grand-daughter, Susan Marie Cole; sister, Meredith Molkjer St. Pierre; and brother, Arthur Molkjer.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. The celebration will be live streamed on the Schnider Funeral Home Facebook page.
