Minnie Marie (Kirk) Taylor, 82, of Great Falls, a homemaker, died of natural causes on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at a local nursing home.A viewing will be held at 6:00 p.m. with a vigil service to follow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.A funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Minnie Marie Taylor was born on October 17, 1930 in Omaha, Nebraska to Lacy George Kirk and Jessie (Ford) Kirk.She attended the St. Agnes Elementary School and graduated from the St. Marys High School.She married Terry Taylor in Omaha in 1950.Minnie was highly active in the scouting program for over 40 years.She was a den mother for Pack 178 in 1964, a cub scout commissioner for 3 years, a den mother trainer, and was inducted as a Scouter Silver Beaver in 1982.She also was a trainer at workshops and powwows.She enjoyed tennis, ice skate dancing, making models, playing the horses at the race track with her family, making creative Halloween and dress up costumes.Minnie was an avid mall walker and dedicated shutterbug.Minnie is survived by her husband, Terry Taylor Sr. of Great Falls; daughter Christine (Lawrence) Busch of Visalia, CA; son Terry (Tonie) Taylor, Jr. of Great Falls; brother Mike Kirk; eight grandchildren and five and a half great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Lacy Kirk, brother, James Kirk and sister Colleen Orda.
