Miguel Garrido

Miguel Garrido, 85, of Great Falls, passed away with his family at his bedside on Monday, February 29, 2016.Miguel was born on July 13, 1930 in Guam. He was a retired Army veteran who served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War as an Airborne Ranger and in the 1st Cavalry Division. He was decorated with the Bronze Star and an Army Commendation Medal. He held various other jobs as a military contractor and in the food service industry. Miguel was a dedicated family man, who was held in high regards by all who met him.Miguel is survived by his sons, Michael and Johnny; daughter Melinda; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Elida.At Miguels request no services are planned and cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.
