Michael Edward Lewis

Michael “Mike” Lewis came into this world early, on May 5, 1975, and departed this world too early for all those who loved him, on September 14, 2021. He died of natural causes at his Great Falls home at the age of 46. Mike graduated from Great Falls High School and University of Montana Northern where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He was a long-time employee of RMAC, Inc. where he provided complex insurance and annuity services. He possessed an acute mind that allowed him to deal efficiently with complex problems. He specialized in working with attorneys and insurance companies to ensure prudent and safe investment of settlement funds. He loved family, children, sports, travel, and his Labrador Retrievers. He participated in youth baseball and club hockey from his early years until he was 18. He followed those sports as a passionate fan throughout his adult years. Being a steward of the game of baseball, he appreciated the history and lore of the sport. For over 10 years, Mike was the official score keeper for the Great Falls Voyagers minor league baseball team. He was a diehard Mets fan and suffered greatly when they did not perform up to his expectations. Mike loved his dogs, Jake, Kirby, Wally, and Chase, three of which predeceased him. He was the center of their universe. As a relative of Jeff Gordon, he was an avid follower of the NASCAR circuit. He also enjoyed travel, hunting, and the outdoors. He spent a good deal of his free time at his father’s ranch. He loved his family above all else, especially his little sisters, Susan and Anne. He always knew how to play. He was our go to guy when it came to technical issues and saved the day many times when electronic devices failed to work properly. He was a most loyal friend and loved his people dearly, the definition of steadfast. Michael is survived by his mom, Kathryn (Bill Boland) Lewis; dad, Tom (Debbie) Lewis; sisters, Susan and Anne Lewis; stepbrothers, Matt and Elijah Boland, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tom and Olga Lewis, George and Mae Lorenz, and his uncle, Philip Lewis. Our hearts are broken, and we will miss him and his quick wit terribly. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on September 24, 2021, at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel with a reception and celebration of life at Centene Stadium immediately following. MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE SERVICE.
