Maxine Mary Dolliver O'Day, 87, of Great Falls, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013, of natural causes at Peace Hospice.At her request, no services are planned.Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Max was born on September 19, 1925 in Opportunity, Washington, to Ross James and Mildred Adalaide (Gorwell) Dolliver. As a young woman, she moved to Great Falls. She made a home at Prairie Nest Ranch with her children and husband, Dick O'Day, until their divorce. The years she spent in Seattle, before her return to Great Falls, were cherished.Max was passionate about politics and the fine arts, was an avid reader and enjoyed the company of her friends and family. And, for those of you who were close to Max, you know the joke ... she outlived Swedish engineering.She is survived by her daughters, Tracy O'Day, Seattle, WA; Kelly (Jerome) Parsons of Great Falls; grandsons, Jeremy Parsons of Great Falls, Josh (Molly Walker) Parsons of Kailua, HI, Danial Hirose of Redondo Beach, CA; granddaughter Nanette Hirose of Redondo Beach, CA; great grandchildren, Justin Perez and Katrina Samson of California, Josh (Katie) Hirose of Black Forest, CO, Jonathon Hirose of Keizer, OR, Raeleigh Parsons of Belgrade, MT and Walker Parsons of Hawaii; and great-great granddaughter, Addison Hirose of Colorado.Max was preceded in death by daughters, Dawne O'Day and Sean O'Day; and her son, Kerry Michael O'Day.Memorials may be sent to Montana PBS, P.O.
