Mattie "Sue" Loma Barrett

Mattie “Sue” Loma Barrett, 88, of Cascade, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. Mattie has been laid to rest alongside her husband, James, at Hillside Cemetery in Cascade, MT.

Mattie was born in Great Falls, MT on August 8, 1934, to Carl and Dorothy Berg. She worked at the local bank in Great Falls early on and then at Baxter Laboratories in Round Lake, IL for 17 years before retiring. She and Jim then moved to Montana to fulfill their retirement in 1995. She married James Barrett in 1954, and they have 4 sons. Her family and friends were very important to her, and she will be remembered for her positive outlook and kind heart. She will be greatly missed by all. Mattie is survived by her sons, Ross, Keith, Craig, and Kevin; eight grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and seven great-grandsons.
