Mary Ellen Park went to her final home in heaven on August 23, 2024, at the Beehive Senior Living facility in Great Falls, Montana.
Mary leaves behind four sons, David (Tami) of Great Falls, Tom (Karen) of Noblesville, Indiana, Tim of Great Falls, and Jon (Corinne) of Montgomery, Texas; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of special friends. She is survived by her brother, Jim Hoe, of Austin, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack, and son, Daniel.
Mary was born to William and Helen Huie Hoe in Middlesboro, Kentucky, on February 9, 1932. She grew up there and graduated from high school in 1949. She enrolled at Georgetown College in Kentucky, where she met her future husband. Jack and Mary were married on March 23, 1952. They graduated from college one week later and boarded a train the next day to go to New Mexico, where they spent the next ten weeks in Student Summer Mission work.
They moved to Louisiana where Jack graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1955. Jack and Mary served as pastor/pastor’s wife in the following years at seven churches. They moved to Hamilton, Montana in 1989, where Jack retired in 1994. Jack passed away in 2016 and Mary lived in Hamilton until 2023.
Mary enjoyed spending time with family and friends, being involved in Christian ministry, playing the piano, and reading.
Mary had a great impact on the lives of many people. She will be missed, but we know she is with her Lord and Savior.
