Mary Katharine Kathy Techam Day, 64, of Great Falls, left this earth on January 1, 2017 from respiratory failure due to COPD caused from smoking. A funeral liturgy will be held 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Burial will take place on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Kathy was born in Minneapolis, MN July 26, 1952. Kathy grew up in Minnetonka, MN and attended Hopkins High School. Kathy worked as a CNA for over 25 years, but her favorite job was managing the Graham Apartments and was dedicated to all of her tenants who were like family to her.Kathy had one daughter Dawn, who she loved dearly. In 2011, Kathy met and married the love of her life, Herbert Day. Kathy loved her grandchildren and spent countless hours baking and coloring with them at her home.Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Mary Techam.She is survived by her loving husband, Herbert Day; brothers Gene Techam, Robert Techam Steve (Kathy) Techam, David Techam and Daniel Techam; sisters Diane Techam and Deanna Techam; daughter Dawn McGee (Helge Naber); grandchildren Michelle, Michaela, Marissa, Leah, Alexandra, Maverick and Kai; as well as numerous cousins, adopted family members and friends.
