Mary "Joyce" Hurley

April 5, 1950 — May 4, 2023

Mary “Joyce” Hurley, 73, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Joyce was born on April 5, 1950, to Matthew “Scotty” and Jane Janzer. She had three brothers, Redmond (Peggy), Rich (Connee) and Tom Janzer. She graduated from Central High School in Great Falls in 1968 and attended Eastern College in Billings. She married the love of her life Bill Hurley in 1974. Joyce enjoyed the life they created together farming and raising their children with her husband east of Brady. She also enjoyed planting flowers, arts and crafts, movies, music, shopping for antiques, watching Jeopardy, and playing poker. Most of all she loved her family and friends. She was the life of any party or gathering, and she loved to laugh. Her sense of humor and quick wit was unmatchable, and her laugh was unforgettable. She made everyone feel loved.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Bill; three children, Mike (Lisa) Hurley of Brady, Joan Hurley of Mankato, MN, and Katie Scollin of Great Falls; and eight grandchildren, Clayton, Gregory, Hailey, James, Vanessa, Parker, Finn, and Lainey. She was the favorite aunt to eight nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Sharon; brother, Tom; in-laws, Gerald and Helen Hurley; and her parents, Matthew and Jane Janzer.
