Mary Lynn Branson

Mary Lynn (Smith) Branson, 56, of Great Falls, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 in Great Falls after a short illness. Mary was born May 24, 1961, in Great Falls to Naomi May and Paul Smith Sr. She attended school in Great Falls. She married Steven Rosten in 1978 and they later divorced in 1984. In 1993, she moved to Las Vegas and married Jerry Branson, and in 1996, they were transferred to Southaven, Mississippi, where Mary worked on the riverboats. She returned to Great Falls in 2001 to be near her children and grandchildren. She loved her kids and grandkids and especially loved caring for her granddaughter, Madison Greenwood. She is survived by her children, Nicole Brunk of Great Falls, Brandon Rosten and his wife Jody of Gillette, WY, Billy Rosten and his wife Rochelle of Great Falls and Jeremy Smith of Great Falls; sister Debbie Nelson of Kalispell; brothers Loren Smith and Paul Smith of Great Falls; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Branson; father Paul Smith; brother Gary Smith; and sister Lucinda Kruse. A celebration of life will be from 3-8 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Devonshire Townhomes Clubhouse, 1200 32nd St. South in Great Falls. Cremation took place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.
