Mary Ellen (Sedlock) Berg, 68, of Great Falls, a former legal secretary, died on Sunday, July 8, 2012 of natural causes at her home.A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Giant Springs State Park in Great Falls, Montana. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Mary Ellen Sedlock was born on July 25, 1943, in Portland, Oregon to Joseph and Catherine (Skinner) Sedlock.She was raised in Great Falls. A very independent person, she managed to get a job washing dishes before she was legally allowed to.Shortly after graduating from Great Falls High School, she went on to get her secretarial certificate at the Great Falls Commercial College.She was hired at Phillips Petroleum (now the Montana Refining), and worked for many years as a legal secretary for the Cascade County Attorneys office. She was very meticulous about the person, her job, and her home.She married Ralph Tuffy Berg in Great Falls in 1964.From that marriage, they had three children, Reese, Susann and Travis.They later divorced.Mary cherished her grandchildren and the time she had with them.She was very proud of her children and their accomplishments, as well as her grandchildrens accomplishments.Mary enjoyed gardening, collecting cookbooks and recipes.When growing up she participated in the girl scouts.Mary is survived by her daughter, Susann Berg of Great Falls; son Reese (Rose) Berg of Graham, WA and their children, Michael, Kaylin and Chase Berg; son Travis (Sherry) Berg of Stanford, and their children, Shaylee and Tuff Berg; sisters Elaine (Ron) Seaburg and Nadine (Dan) Thares, both of Great Falls; brother Michael (Karen) Sedlock of East Helena; and numerous neices and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Catherine (Skinner) Sedlock; a brother Robert Sedlock and his wife, JoAnn Sedlock.In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made in Marys name to the Easter Seal Society, 4400 Central Ave., Great Falls, MT59405.Condolences may be left for the family at www.schniderfuneralhome.com.
