Marilynn Taylor

Marilynn Taylor passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Marilynn was born June 21, 1939, in Omaha, Nebraska to William and Mary (Couch) Kulus. She went to school in Ralston and graduated from Ralston High School. After high school, she met the love of her life, Airforce service member, Lester Taylor on a blind date. She and Les were married in 1958. They were stationed in various places throughout the country and in the Philippines during Les’s service, ending with a final assignment in Opheim, Montana. During those years, they were blessed with five children. Marilynn and Les raised their children in Glasgow, Montana where Marilynn worked at Pacific Steel for many years until her retirement in 2001. After retirement, Marilyn and Les moved to Great Falls.

Marilyn was a fantastic cook and loved baking, sewing, bowling, and enjoying time spent with family and friends. Her yard was full of beautiful flowers and plants. Marilynn remained active throughout her life and in recent years, she especially enjoyed walking with good friends. She was a woman of strong faith and her love for the Catholic Church was known to all who loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Les; five children, Louis (Nancy) of Billings, MT, David of Cut Bank, Deborah (Lyall) of Sandpoint, Idaho, Lesley of Great Falls, and Steven (Bozena) of Great Falls; fourteen grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Marilynn is also survived by brothers, Greg (Jolene) and Jo (Cathy); sister, JoAnn (Rich); and sister-in-law LaVonne, all of Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and older brother, Ken.

Private family services are pending with interment at Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Harrison. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are welcome to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.
