Marie M. Lins, 95, of Great Falls, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Peace Hospice."public" visitation will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. followed by a Vigil Service at 6:00 p.m. both at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1410 13th St. S. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church,201 44th St. S., followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Marie was born on March 8, 1922 in Great Falls, Montana to Jake and Adelina Lesofski. She was one of ten children. She graduated from St. Marys in Great Falls and began waitressing. Later in life, she owned a home daycare for over 30 years.She met and married the love of her life Walter W. Lins. Walter and Marie had four children.Marie loved creek and deep sea fishing, catching mostly salmon. She enjoyed shopping, watching the birds out her big picture window. She would wait for the first Robin in the spring. She adored watching the humming birds at her daughters cabin in Lincoln, watching Griz football and enjoyed her time with her grandkids.She is survived by her daughter Gayla (Calvin) Mertes of Great Falls, MT; sons Terry (Mary Jane) Lins of Great Falls, MT, Ron (Murrille) Lins of CA, and Bob (Carol) Lins of MN; brother Albert Lesofski; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Walter W. Lins; sisters Alice, Marcia, and Lillian; brothers Hank, Jake, Speed, Vern and Larry; and a great-granddaughter. Memorials in Maries name may be made to Peace Hospice.
