Marie Lorraine "Rain" Farmer

August 11, 1924 — July 3, 2022

Marie Lorraine "Rain" Farmer headed off for her next adventure, into the arms of Jesus, in the early morning hours July 3, 2022. Rain was born on August 11, 1924, the eldest child of Otis and Anna Roe. Rain exhibited her spit-fire nature in everything she did from keeping the neighborhood kids in line with her sidekick sister, Maddy, to driving big trucks during the war and hunting with her dad, earning her pilots' license, playing softball, golfing, bowling, camping, and boating on Holter and Holland lakes, and playing a mean game of cards. She loved traveling with her husband, Jack Farmer and had wonderful stories about various trips with the Good Sam’s. You never wondered where you stood with Rain, she said what she meant and meant what she said. She was the best example of a curious spirit and a life well lived. She also loved with all her heart. So many of us will miss her forthright opinions and hearing her say, "Love you" when you parted. She leaves behind her stepdaughter, Carol (Terry) Young and family in Nevada; stepson, Butch Farmer of California; brother, Jack Roe and family of California; nieces, Missy and Leighton Dresch of Great Falls, and Diane Mulch of Great Falls; nephews, Gary (Patty) Anderson of Louisville, KY, Dennis (Jana) Anderson of Missoula, Dale (Anne) Anderson of Ogden, UT, and Keith (Nancy) Anderson of Great Falls. A graveside service will be held at Highland Cemetery on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.
