Marianne Magdelana Mohr

Marianne Magdelana Mohr, 83, of Great Falls, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at a local care facility.

Marianne was born on March 2, 1940, in Mannheim, Germany to Heinrich and Maria Sauter. After graduating high school and business school in Germany, she met her soon to be husband, Douglas (who was enlisted in the Army), and moved to the United States where they settled in Montana. Marianne’s greatest joys in life were her husband, Douglas, her children, Daniel and Benjamin, and her grandchildren, Nicole, Kaitlin, Luke, and Brooke. She also found great joy in her job and the customers she helped at JC Penney where she worked for 48 years. She enjoyed dancing, reading, socializing with friends, movies, and walks. She was a loving, kind, selfless, loyal, and generous person as well as a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

Marianne is survived by her son, Benjamin (Julie) Mohr; and her four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Douglas; son, Daniel Mohr; sisters, Elisabeth and Melanie; and brother, Reinhold.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
