Marianne Denning

Marianne (McMinn) Denning, 98, of Great Falls, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017.A celebration of life will be held Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the OHaire Motor Inn, 17 7th Str. S., Great Falls, MT.Marianne was born on an out of the way homestead in Idaho, in the early 1900s. Marianne painted and drew all of her life, drawing on her background of experiences, such as living on a cattle ranch, a Wyoming homestead, in deserted mining camps in Colorado, being in the WACS in World War II, teaching in a two room country school and teaching in elementary schools in the Great Falls area.Marianne is survived by her son, James (SuAnn) Denning in Olympia, WA; daughters Kay Lassila (Daryl Rogers) and Carol (James) Capps of Great Falls; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Edward; sons Daniel and Leslie; and her husband, Lorenz.Memorial contributions or donations may be made in Marianne Dennings name to the Great Falls Animal Shelter, 1010 25th Ave. NE, Great Falls, MT 59404.
