Marian Elizabeth (Guza) Golie fulfilled her appointment with God on March 18, 2016 in Great Falls, Montana. She lived a full life of 96 years.A vigil service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. A funeral liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Marian was born in Tracy, Montana on June 18, 1919 to Ann and Mathias Guza where she grew up with her family until moving to Great Falls. She attended Centerville High School in Sand Coulee. Marian married the love her life, Donald Golie on August 8, 1944 in Stockett. She was a homemaker most of the time, except for babysitting her many nieces and nephews and their children.Marian enjoyed gardening and she never let us forget that when she grew up, if you wanted vegetables, you planted a garden and if you wanted milk, you had a milk cow. She always put out bread for the birds and enjoyed watching them. Marian loved to play bingo, but wasnt as lucky as her playing partners. She was always conscientious of getting enough exercise and eating right. Marian was a great cook and always shared her goodies.Marian was a traditional devoted Catholic. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and took part in their functions. Easter and Christmas were a special time for celebration in her life.Marian is survived by her three sons, Duane (Char) Golie of Sun Prairie, Gerald Golie of Great Falls and George (Vicki) Golie of Helena; grandchildren Lisa Stelling of Missoula, Wesley (Aisha) Golie of Lonetree, CO, Clinton Golie of Great Falls and Sarah (Sean) Ibsen of Great Falls; 4 great grandchildren; and she was blessed to have many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; parents Anna and Mathias Guza; brothers Joseph Rudolph, John, Mathew and Lawrence Guza; sisters Barbara Oriet and Zita Leffler; and baby Golie.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, 409 13th St. S., Great Falls, MT 59405 or Peace Hospice, 1101 26th St. S., Great Falls, MT 59405.
