Margaret Palagi

Margaret Muggs Mary McNaught Palagi, 90, a mother and housewife, died in the arms of her children of natural causes on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Peace Hospice.Muggs was born on February 7, 1925 in Great Falls, Montana to Joe and Mary McNaught. She attended Ursuline Academy for both grade school and high school.After high school, she worked at General Motors, Strain Brothers, Graham & Ross and Bison Ford until she married the love of her life, Alfred Palagi, on February 22, 1949. He lovingly called her his Rock of Gibraltar. From then on her whole life centered on being a loving wife, mother and caregiver to her family. Besides being involved with her childrens school and recreational activities, she was active in Club, serving her church community, bridge, golf and especially loved visiting with her ever growing family! She spent many of her retirement years traveling with her husband, family and friends and enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildrens activities. Serving snacks and drinks to visiting family and friends was always a highlight for her, as well as playing cards, dancing, singing, and camping. She spent many hours in her kitchen working on special dinners and desserts for those people special to her heart.Survivors include a sister, Pattie Coolidge of Great Falls; children Karen (Mike) Halladay of Spokane, WA, Ken (Bobbi) Palagi of Bozeman, Jim (Laura) Palagi of Great Falls, Judy (Mark) Schulte of Great Falls, and Patti (Bob) Rogers of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren Christine (Judd) Heartsill of Houston, TX, Amy Simmons of Spokane, WA, Kimberly (Bart) Brinkmann of Post Falls, ID, Lindsey (John) Richards of Bozeman, MT, Kyle (Kayla) of Great Falls, Justin Palagi of Bozeman, Gina (Nick) Moss, Dan (Nicole) Palagi and Stephanie (Joey) Iverson all of Great Falls, Ryan (Meghan) Schulte of Helena, MT, Rob (Molly) Schulte and Rory (Holli) Schulte of Great Fall, Melissa (Isaac) Derosier of Colorado Springs, CO, Tyler (Brooke) Markovich of Denver, CO, Nichole Richardson of Pueblo, CO, and Kyla and Sara Rogers both of Colorado Springs, CO; great-grandchildren Joshua, Jeremy, Lydia, Angus, Justis, Jayce, Sophia, Grace, Riley, Allie, Lucas, Jordan, Natalie, Jackson, Tyson, Charlie Ann, Dylan, Margaret, Michael and soon to be, Markie Lynn, Cameron, Mikey, Naomi, Nehemiah, Cassie, Michael, Ellie, Wyatt; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Floyd and Mabel Palagi; and numerous nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her husband, Fredo; parents Joe and Mary McNaught; sisters and brothers-in-law Betty and Don Rearden and Helen and Jake Parchen; brother John McNaught; and brother-in-law Paul Coolidge.A vigil service will be held at Ursuline Centre on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. A funeral liturgy will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2800 Central Ave., on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
