Margaret Kind

Margaret Kind, 78, of Fairfield, MT, passed away February 16, 2017, at Peace Hospice in Great Falls after her battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family and friends.Funeral services and burial will take place at a later date in Fairfield, MT. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Margaret was born on July 1, 1938, in Kalispell to Ernie and Pat Kind and grew up on the family homestead on Sunny Slope where they raised sheep for many years. She went to school at Golden Ridge and Fairfield. After graduating in 1957, she married Reg Wearley. They started a family while living in Dillon and continued their family while Reg took teaching jobs in Kalispell and Centerville. After a year in Grand Forks, ND, the family settled in Choteau. The opportunity to join the family ranch allowed them to move to Augusta. Margaret was a great mother who taught her seven children her love for cooking, crafting, sewing, drawing, and painting.Margaret was a fantastic artist. She loved all forms of art, and watercolor was her favorite medium. She loved teaching her grandchildren to paint and draw. She loved wildflowers, and they were often her muse. She also put her heart into making pen and ink Christmas cards each year.Margaret was a free spirit and a woman of great faith who loved to be around family and friends. She always had encouraging words and a big hug for everyone. She never went anywhere without her smile. She was a true angel on Earth and blessed everyone she ever met. Margaret was deeply loved and will be greatly missed as she smiles upon us from Heaven.Margaret is survived by her brother, Larry (Connie) Kind and sister Sylvia (Gary) Waters, both of Fairfield, MT; daughter Meg (Keith) Hansen of Sioux Falls, SD; son Milford Wearley of Choteau; daughter Teresa (Kevin) Gosselin of Bethel, AK; son Robb (Carol) Wearley of Choteau; daughters Beth Morrow and Jesse Wilson of Great Falls, MT and son Reid (Vincent) Wearley of San Francisco, CA; grandchildren: Megan (Donny) Carreno, Jamie Hansen, Mariah Wearley, Logan Wearley, Adam (Kat) Malcott, Shelly Malcott, Jaxom Wearley, Sidney Wearley, Tristan Wearley, Tricia Rucker, Skye Morrow, Sam (Ashley) Wearley; and great-granddaughter Piper Malcott.Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; brother Robb Kind; and granddaughter Abigail Wilson.Memorial contributions may be made to a church, Peace Hospice, local food pantry or charity of your choice.Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.SchniderFuneralHome.com.
