Mae Eleanor Gill

September 16, 1940 — November 25, 2018

Mae Eleanor Mustard Gill, 78 passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. A celebration of Mae’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church 409 13th St. S, Great Falls, MT. Mae was born in Denton, Montana to Tom and Grace Mustard.She was raised in Denton, Montana along with her brother Gene and sister Sharon.After high school, Mae moved to Great Falls where she met Earl Eugene Gill while she was working at First National Bank.In December of 1959, Mae and Gene were married in Denton. All three of their children, Michael Lee, Patrick Allen and Ginger Lynn were born in Great Falls where the family lived until 1966 when they relocated to Rossville, Georgia. After two years they moved to Madison, Tennessee for another two years and then lived on the Glasgow Air Force Base for three years before returning to Great Falls permanently.Mae worked as a civilian in the accounting department at Malmstrom Air Force Base, eventually becoming the Budget Analyst, a career she enjoyed until her retirement in 2001. Mae was devoted to her family and her church.She enjoyed golfing and bowling and she was a talented seamstress. She mastered many crafts and hobbies during her lifetime.She especially loved celebrating her family’s special occasions from birthdays to holidays.Mae had an endless capacity for love.Every family member, especially her grandchildren, knew that they held a special place in her warm heart. Mae is preceded in death by her parents and her brother.She is survived by her loving family: her husband, Gene; children Michael (Debra) of Bozeman, Patrick of Seattle, and Ginger (Kevin) King of Great Falls; grandchildren Taylor (Jesse) Zuidema, Hunter King, Jessica Gill, and Tucker Gill; sister Sharon (Wes) Mee;sister-in-law Carol Mossey along with many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the staff at Linden Home of BeeHive Homes.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
