Mabel C. "Mae" Mcgregor

Mabel C. “Mae” McGregor was born July 28, 1928, in Plentywood, MT to Ole and Ruth Flakne. She graduated from Redstone High School in 1946. Following graduation, Mae worked at Deaconess Medical Center and attended Great Falls Community College. She married Donald L. McGregor on January 23, 1951. Together they had two daughters and one son. She started working in 1951 at Town and Ranch Self Service Furniture, where she was the office and credit manager. She worked there until 2009. Mae was a past president of Credit Woman’s Breakfast Club Zonta International, a member of Cascade Co. Credit Association, a charter member of Conserve Credit Counseling Service, a member of Montana State Landlords Association, and a past member of the Business and Professional Women’s Foundation. She is survived by her daughters, Valarie Cooper and Vikki McGregor; son, Don E. McGregor; grandchildren, Chad Cooper, Travis Cooper, Carolyn Geschwill, Kathleen Charpentier, Sean Geschwill, Keith McGregor, and Kalli McGregor; nine great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her parents; sisters, Gladys Bolster, Blanche Muttonen, and Alma Vance; and brothers, Joe Flakne and Orval Flakne. A memorial service for Mae will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Friday, March 25, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.
