Lynda Sue (Waring) Kapphan, 53, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 8, 2017.A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Schnider Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.Lynda was born January 31, 1963, in Great Falls. She graduated from Great Falls High in 1981. She then worked for Swenson Accounting for several years.While in high school, Lynda met Brian Kapphan, and the two would spend the next 37 years making each other laugh. They married in 1983 and welcomed their first daughter, Ashley Elizabeth, in 1986.In 1989, Brian and Lynda bought the Top Notch Cafe in downtown Great Falls. Along with serving breakfast and lunch several days a week and running the Western Livestock kitchen, the Kapphans kept busy catering and serving their famous pork chop sandwiches and deep-fried treats at the annual State Fair.In 2000 and 2001, Brian and Lynda were blessed with two more children, Kaddie Lee and Donald Donnie Richard. A passionate and loving mother, Lynda was devoted to her three children and their many activities. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with family.Lynda enjoyed everything Disney, watching wresting and collecting movies. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and the family loved decorating their home and yard for all to enjoy. Lynda loved buying gifts for everyone. Her pretty blue eyes and her kind, giving heart will always be remembered.Lynda is survived by her husband, Brian; daughters Ashley and Kaddie; son Donnie; brother Robyn (Cheri) Waring; and nephews Kyle (Katrina) and Gary Waring.She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne Waring and Patsy Waring Parr.Condolences may be posted online at www.schniderfuneralhome.com.
