Lyle Murdock, 86, of Great Falls, died on April 10, 2014.A memorial service will be held at First Church of the Nazarene on Friday, April 18 at 3:00 p.m. Lyle will be inurned at Montana State Veterans Cemetery in Fort Harrison, Montana. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Lyle was born in Gordon, Nebraska, on July 4, 1927. He taught school from the age 16 to 18, and was in the Army from age 18 to 20. He married his wife Phyllis Bell (Miller) Murdock at age 20. Lyle went to school at the University of Colorado, and graduated with a BS in Pharmacy in 1951. He worked as a pharmacist from 1951 to 1956. He then went to work for Eli Lilly and Company as a pharmaceutical representative from 1956 to 1985.Lyle was a devout Christian his whole life, and taught Sunday school for over 20 years at the First Church of the Nazarene.He is survived by his wife, Phyllis B. (Miller) Murdock of Great Falls; his daughter, Patra J. Murdock of Salem, OR, his granddaughters, Catherine Orr and Michelle Orr, both of Denver CO; and his great granddaughter, Mackenzie R. Brady of Denver, CO.He was preceded in death by his father, Charles A. Murdock, his mother, Daisy (Russell) Murdock, his brothers, Archie Murdock and Forest Murdock; his sister, Silvia M. Murdock; and by his daughter, Dana P.
