Lucille Perkins

Lucille Augusta Perkins, 87, died of natural causes Monday, Feb. 27, at her daughter's home.A memorial service is 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church, followed by a reception at the church. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Lucille was born March 24, 1924, in Euclid, Minn., where she was raised and educated at a rural school. In 1963, she married Albert Perkins in Sedalia, Mo., and they remained together until his death in August 1997. Lucille worked in food service over the years, and was an active member for many years at her church in Columbia Falls and a charter member of Flathead Valley Good Sam Club, she also participated in Lutheran Marriage Encounter. Her family members were the strawberries of her eyes. Her husband was her knight in shining armor, and her Flathead Valley home was her castle. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, hunting, fishing, camping, RV traveling, country music and playing cards.She is survived by daughter Sharon (Mike) Farnsworth of Great Falls; sons Lee (Sharyn) Schrader of Columbia Falls, and Wes (Angie) Perkins of Milwaukie, Ore.; sisters Iva Anderson of East Grand Forks, Minn., and Eleanore Bauman of Great Falls; grandchildren Wendy Herford, Cari (Brian) Davids, Melinda Perkins, Brandy (Sammuel) Eason, Nicole (Mike) Urik and Kristyn and Eric Schrader; and great-grandchildren Ashly (Tim) Staples, Jessica (Tom) Hodge, James, Christina and Michael Herford, Amber Jaen Reynolds, Brayden Davids, Zoe and Asher Urick, and Alee and Jacob Eason.Memorials are suggested to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at www.aspca.org/donate.
