Lucille "Lu" Penney

Lucille Floretine Penney, 93, Great Falls passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Grandview.A funeral liturgy will be Friday, January 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with burial at Mount Olivet at a later date. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Lucille was born on February 22, 1922 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Nicholas and Teresa (Bechtold) Mohs. She attended St. Marys Grade School and graduated from Cathedral High School in St. Cloud. Lucille married Harold Noftsger until his passing. She worked as a sales person for the Style Shop for many years. Lucille later married Randall Penney. In 1996, Randall passed away. Lucille really enjoyed living at the Grandview and developed many friends there.She enjoyed all sports and especially enjoyed her Sunday card games with Marilyn Neyman.She is survived by her twin daughters, Linda Thompson of Great Falls and Gayle Noftsger of San Raphael, CA; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, especially Thom, Bonnie and Ron.She was preceded in death by her husbands; and son Richard Dick Noftsger in 2007.Lucille is survived by so many really good friends, especially, Patsy OBoyle, Carol Harris, Betty Platisha, and Louise Osterman. She often mentioned how God truly blessed her with them, always there in good times and bad times and fun times.
