Lorna Wahl Buck, 87, of White Sulphur Springs formerly of Great Falls, passed away on October 30, 2017 in White Sulphur Springs. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2017 form 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Schnider Funeral Home, 1510 13th St. S., Great Falls. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1410 13th St. S., Great Falls. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Lorna was born on August 3, 1930 to Ernest and Goldie (Dougherty) Halliwill in Summer, Michigan. The family later moved to Great Falls, Montana and Lorna graduated from the Ursuline Academy. She became a CNA and worked at County Nursing Home and then moved to the Deaconess Hospital till her retirement. In 1948, Lorna married Vernon Wahl and they later divorced. In 1992, Lorna married Dale Buck. Lorna enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, sewing, crosswords and reading. Her greatest joy was lending out her Christian books, which comprised the size of a small library. She is survived by her daughters, Lydia (Bob) Rooney of White Sulphur Springs, Peggy (Steve) Jeffrey of Great Falls, and Penny (Willis) Thurman of Thompson Falls; sons Harold (Jean) Wahl of Great Falls and Howard (Yang) Wahl of Fairbanks, AK; sisters Clela, Mary and Iris; half-brother John McGlocklin; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Lorna was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Buck; sons Vernon Wahl Jr., Ernest Dell Wahl and Robert Philip Wahl.
