Lorene Thomas

Lorene Thomas, 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at her daughter, Catherine Ekness home in Helena, MT.Lorene was born on August 30, 1930 in Kentucky. She moved to Great Falls in October 1968 with her husband, Herbert Thomas who was stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base. They lived here for 44 years. While living in Great Falls, she ran her own daycare for many years. Lorene loved children and she cared for countless children in her years as a daycare provider. After the daycare, she held jobs in housekeeping, first with the Heritage Inn and then with Deaconess Hospital. She retired to spend the Golden Years with her husband. Lorene then moved to Helena to reside with her daughter in October, 2012, after the passing of her one true love.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.
