Lola (Blackie) Conant

December 10, 1940 — November 4, 2017

Lola (Blackie) Conant, 76, of Great Falls, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Hospice. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Viewing will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. A celebration of life will follow at Eagles Lodge. Lola was born December 10, 1940 in Stanton, ND. In 1958, her parents moved to Montana where she met and married Roy Maxwell. Together they had four children. They divorced in 1967. She later married Paul Allick; his four children became a happy addition to her family. They divorced in 1983. Later, she married Roger Conant, Sr.; two of his children quickly became part of her growing family. Lola is survived by her children, Carrie Covert, Lynett and Duane Waite, Ken Maxwell (Mel), all of Great Falls, Brenda Grooms of Ohio, Roger Jr. and Kristie Conant, of Great Falls, and Tabatha Beard(Kurt) of Helena; step-children Joyce Morehouse, Bill Allick, Shelly Thorn and Delain Allick; grandchildren TJ and Brittney Grooms of Ohio, Amanda (Henry) Grooms of Michigan, Derrick and Nicole Waite of Washington, James (Michelle) Covert, Leann (Trent) Waite, Veronica Maxwell, Carter, Khandra, Savannah, Kayliegh, and baby to be Braelynn all of Great Falls, Cassie Conant of Missoula, Jackson and Emily Beard of Helena; great-grandchildren Lilly and Harper Grooms, and Cain and Kairi Waite; and siblings Roger, Minnie, Frank, Emily, Helen, and Deliaha. She was preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Emma Pearson; son-in-law John Covert; and many siblings.
