Lois A. Wilz, 80, our beloved mother, and grandmother, left us on April 18, 2014.A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Mom was born July 6, 1933, in Camden, New Jersey, the third of seven children, three of whom survive her.After graduation in 1951, mom enlisted in the US Air Force, which brought her to Malmstrom Air Force Base, where she met her husband, William J. Wilz, Sr. She was honorably discharged in 1953.Mom worked at various businesses in Great Falls as a bookkeeper, her last employment being at St. Joseph's Parish.For the past five years mom lived at Cambridge Court. The family would like to extend their deep gratitude for the care mom received, especially during the final days of her life. She would smile whenever they spoke to her; to us, they were her extended family.We will miss our mother, and grandmother, but know that she is in a better place, reunited with her infant daughter and son.Mom is survived by seven of her nine children, Stephen M. Wilz, Linda M. (Bill) Decker, Kenneth J. (Bonnie) Wilz, and Daniel M. Wilz, all of Great Falls, Sharon A. Rausch of Grand Forks, ND, Deborah L. Brewer of Auburn, WA, and George S. Wilz of Savannah, GA; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her son, William Billy J. Wilz, Jr, and an infant daughter, Katherine Wilz.
