Lisa (Chaplin) Goff, 65, passed away on October 18, 2021, after fighting the good fight against pancreatic cancer. Her family and friends will gather to celebrate her life in a memorial service at Hillcrest Lawn memorial Chapel on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. Please join us at the family home for a reception immediately following the service. Lisa was born in southern California in 1955. In 1971, she moved with her grandparents to be near her Montana roots where two sets of her great-grandparents had homesteaded, and a large extended family lived. Lisa graduated from high school in Fort Benton and lived in several small communities primarily in north central Montana before making Great Falls her home in 1986. Lisa’s three children, Alan, Scott, and Lindsey, were born of her first marriage in 1974 to Duane Wethern. Lisa and Duane divorced in 1985. She married Steven Goff in 1993, and they enjoyed the good times and supported each other in the difficult times since then. They recently celebrated their 28th anniversary. Lisa loved the promise of Montana spring when she could indulge in her passion for gardening. She enjoyed learning about and sharing family history. She was always up for weekend or week-long trips and was an avid shopper. She was often found barefoot in summer. She spent her career in Great falls helping others, reluctantly retiring in 2020 due to ill health. She is survived by the most important people in her life; her husband, Steve; sons, Scott (Rose) Wethern and Alan Wethern; and stepdaughters, Marcy Goff and Mendy Fleck and family. Daughter, Lindsey Wethern, preceded her in death in 2015. Lisa was proud of her five grand-girls, Hailey, Isabel, Eva, Willow, and Alana; and the family had recently welcomed a great-granddaughter. Also surviving her are her brothers, Ross Chaplin and Gary Chaplin; a niece; a nephew; and a large extended family. True to form, Lisa requested that in lieu of flowers or plants, that a donation or gift of volunteer time be given to a local charity of your choosing.
