Lisa Kay Cox, 58, passed away at home on the morning of September 5, 2021, surrounded by her two loving sons. She dedicated her life to the servitude of the Most-High God and reflected him with every thought, word, and deed. Lisa was born to Lonnie and Sylvia (Smith) Hand on January 17, 1963, in Plainview, Texas. She was raised in Clovis, New Mexico until her family moved to Dillon, Montana, and then later to Great Falls. She graduated from CMR High School in 1981. She then attended college at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. She moved back home and worked at the Bon. She later returned to Texas, where she met Daren Cox (her future husband) through ministry work in the city of Lubbock. Lisa was the stay-at-home mother of two sons whom she homeschooled through high school. Lisa Cox moved to back Great Falls, Montana in 2012 and took a job with HANDS. She spent many years in service of the community showing love and care to its students. Lisa is survived by her two sons, Josiah Cox and Jeremiah Cox; mother, Sylvia (Smith) Hand; siblings, Sherry Heikkila, Dana Hand, Darren (Shannon) Hand, and Christine (Robert) Elegelholff. She was preceeded in death by her father, Lonnie Hand; and brother-in-law, Ross Heikkila. There will be a celebration of life on October 9, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Central Assembly of God.(2001 Central Ave. Great Fall, MT).
