Linda Lloydell Robinson

November 8, 1944 — September 5, 2021

Linda Lloydell Robinson, 76, of Geyser, Montana passed away September 5, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born November 8, 1944, to Lloyd and Agnus “Sis” Dunbar in Roundup, Montana. Linda was the eldest of two children and did not get to meet her Daddy, who was serving overseas in WWII, until she was over a year old. She graduated from Musselshell High School in 1962 and received a musical scholarship to Eastern Montana College in Billings, MT where she played in the Marching Band. She loved to dance, and it was at a local dance where she and Wade first got together. Linda and Wade were known for their dancing and would put on quite a show with their jitterbugging. Linda and Wade were married on October 31, 1964, in Roundup, Montana. They first lived in Musselshell, then Roundup, and then back to Musselshell where they ranched and all four of their children were born. They later moved to Willow Creek, Montana where they ranched and raised their four children. They retired to Geyser, MT to be closer to their youngest grandchildren. Linda was actively involved in her community. Besides being a sports and rodeo mom of four, she was a Sunday school teacher, an active member in the ladies’ church group, and a 4-H leader for bread baking. She was the Three Forks Rodeo Secretary for many years and worked at the Three Forks Saddlery for close to 30 years. She lived her life to the fullest. Her hobbies were reading, sewing; where she sewed all of her family’s clothes, knitting, macramé, Artex fabric painting, and oil painting. She was a fantastic gardener, growing enough vegetables to feed an army. Linda was proficient in canning and later dehydrating her entire garden. Linda was a great cook and baker. She loved baking bread and did so much that her kids begged her for store bought sliced bread. Linda was on the road most summer weekends traveling to Wade’s rodeos and team roping where she was usually the timer. Her camper was the “go to” camper, where she fed all the cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and family. Everyone was welcome. Rarely did Linda only have her four kids. Most times she was seen with her four kids and all her nieces and nephews in tow. Later she spent most weekends hauling her children across the state for rodeos. Linda enjoyed all her children’s’ activities, never missing a game or rodeo. She was also active in sports of her own, competing in women’s softball and bowling league. She could remember every friend and family member’s name, relationship to the family, birthday, and anniversary. Everyone received a call or a card. If there was a question in the family on who belonged to whom, she was the one they called. She loved to tell stories and brag about her children and grandchildren to whomever would listen. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Agnus Dunbar She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Wade Robinson; brother, Edward Barlow Dunbar, four children, Brent (Liz) Robinson, Lorie (Brian) Lane, Brenda (John) McCray, and Brad (Trina) Robinson; and the pride of her life, her grandchildren, Ryan and Sydney Lane, Breauna and Brittney Robinson, and Kora and Ian McCray. A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at the Musselshell Cemetery followed by a memorial reception at the Musselshell Schoolhouse in Musselshell, Montana. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Geyser Ambulance or the Friends of Musselshell School.
