Lillian Teeny E. Schmasow, 78, a retired realtor of Great Falls, died on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Peace Hospice of natural causes.Private family services will be held.Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Teeny was born on January 10, 1934 in Great Falls to Bill and Lillian (Wadsworth) Martin.She graduated from Great Falls High.Teeny met the love of her life, Chester Schmasow at the age of 16 at a baseball game.They were married on October 6, 1950 in Great Falls.Teeny was most known for being the co-founder of the Flag of Great Falls, which is located in Overlook Park that continues to fly to this day.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Janice Gates of Billings for her care of Chester and Teeny.Lillian is survived by her son, Steven Schmasow of Great Falls; a daughter Susan Salak of Geneva, IL; grandchildren Kristopher Sewell of Great Falls, Carla Salak of Geneva IL, Shelby Mann of Great Falls, Toni Denny of Arizona, Hayley Pinkowski of Louisiana and numerous great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband Chester.Memorials are suggested to GFAR Flag Project, 401 13th Ave S, Great Falls, MT 59405.
