Lillian M. LeDesky, 95, formerly of Great Falls, MT passed away May 8, 2016 at Apple Cooney Rehab in Helena.Lillian was born January 9, 1921 in Proctor, Montana to Oscar and Bertha Baertsch. She attended school in Polson. During World War II she worked at Barnes General Army Hospital in Vancouver, Washington nursing wounded soldiers. Following the war, her family moved to Great Falls. In 1956, she and her husband, Myron built the Tastee Freez which they operated for twenty-five years.In her retirement years, Lillian was active in the Foster Grandparents Program for fifteen years.Lillian was preceded in death by her spouse; son Con; parents; four brothers; sister; and a granddaughter.Lillian is survived by her daughter, Cherry (Alan) Rogers of Fort Mill, SC; brother Oscar Baertsch of Polson, MT; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.No services are planned. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.
