Lila G. Lambert

Lila Goldie Lambert, 85, of Raynesford passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Peace Hospice. A graveside service will be Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery in Billings. Schider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Lila was born on December 13, 1932 in Broadview, Montana. She was the sixth of eight children born to Lawrence and Olga Helmey. She attended school in Lavina where she graduated in 1950. While in school, she met Wes Lambert whom she married on New Year’s Eve 1950. The union would last for over 67 years and would be blessed with seven children. She enjoyed playing bridge, cribbage, and board games. She was a wonderful cook and was famous for her pasta dishes, potato salad, cheesecake, and apple strudel. Lila was preceded in death by her husband, Wes; son, Kenneth; grandsons Matthew and Kyle; sisters Lola, Ione, and Norma; brothers Orville, James, and Leonard. She is survived by her six children, Leigh (Jim) Stuart of Gildford, MT, Glenn Lambert of Raynesford, MT, Karla (Jay) Davison of Highwood, MT, James Lambert of Laurel, MT, Christine (Tom) Rodacker of Billings, MT and Jennifer (KJ) Cullen of Cheyenne, WY; 12 grandchildren, whom she adored and took great pride in their accomplishments, Dani, Scott, Bridget, Jake, Joe, Kody, Brian, Nathan, Logan, Braydon, Cole and Lauren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister Laura (Ed) Mattheis. Memorials in Lila’s name may be made to Peace Hospice.
