On October 18, 2022, Libby Marie Fouts, 49, passed away at Benefis Hospital from congestive heart failure. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
Libby was born in Prineville, Oregon on September 15, 1973, to Bonnie and Douglas Nelson. She grew up in Great Falls and graduated from Charles M. Russell High School where she loved both drama and being in Drama Club and plays. Through friends, she met Arlo the love of her life, marrying him on March 7, 1998, and from that union they were blessed with their two children, Brennan and Colton whom she cherished with every fiber of her being.
Libby enjoyed living life to the fullest. She enjoyed being outdoors, visiting museums, and she had a wicked sense of humor. She loved owning the Country Christmas Store in Great Falls with her mother, and later, running food co-ops in the area. Libby managed a Facebook page named “Loved Food” sharing ideas and recipes and she developed many deep friendships with those she met. Libby had a love for crafting which she shared with Brennan, crocheting, collecting plants, and she always had a book in her hand. She loved animals and had many pets including raccoons, cats, and dogs. She loved to travel, making many trips to Hawaii with her children, family, and friends. Though she never got to realize her dream of visiting Italy, a highlight was a trip to Washington D.C. with her mother and sister, Jennifer. She loved nature including gardening, camping, geocaching, and fishing with her husband and kids. Family night was all about fun and competition playing videos, cards, and board games. Brennan and Colton both played in the school band and Libby loved attending their concerts and school events just as much as she enjoyed the Eagles and Paul McCartney concerts. Libby tried to find good in everything.
She is survived by her husband, Arlo; and their children Brennan and Colton; parents, Bonnie and Loran Keller of Great Falls and Doug and Juanita Nelson of Longview, Washington; sister, Jen Bergren; siblings, Loran T. Keller, Matt Keller, Bryan Babin, and Rebecca Babin-Sargent; aunts and uncles, Larry and Suzanne Erpenbach and Lynn and Stan Morrison; brothers-in-law, Duane (Jacie) Fouts, Dan (Angel) Fouts, and Chet (Ruthann) Fouts. She will be missed by cousins, nieces, and nephews too numerous to list.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Art and Audrey Erpenbach and Robert and Ruth Nelson; and in-laws, Walt and Isabel Fouts.
