Lester "Bob" Comstock

Lester Robert Bob Comstock, 72, of Black Eagle, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from natural causes at Peace Hospice.A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Church of Christ, 3400 Central Ave, at 10:00 a.m. with Minister Roger Comstock officiating. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Bob was born on March 2, 1943 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to Lester and June (Hagelbarger) Comstock. He moved to Mt. Vernon, Ohio at a very young age. While in high school, he played cornet in the band. With great honor he played Taps for military services. Immediately after graduation he joined the U.S. Air Force, serving his country for four years overseas after receiving his Top Secret clearance. As a civilian he was employed by NASA in Ft. Myers, Florida. He moved to Great Falls in the late 70s and drove semi for Gary Bell Trucking for many years before retiring.He is survived by his wife, Deola Dee May Comstock; daughters Gina (Mike) Goulet, Becky (Dale) Bokros, Robin Comstock, Kathy Comstock; 17 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; parents Lester and June Comstock; two sisters; and one brother. He helped raise and became Dad to several other children.Bob was preceded in death by one grandson.
