Leski Whitmore

Leski Dean Whitmore passed away on April 21, 2017, in Great Falls. He was 40 years old.The memorial service will be Friday, April 28, 2017 at Central Assembly of God Church at 2:00 p.m. A reception will be held afterwards at The Do Bar.Leski is survived by his parents, Dean and Diane Whitmore of Ulm; wife Donna Miranda Whitmore of Great Falls; sons Ruger Dean Whitmore and Colt Benjamin Whitmore of Lewistown with their mother, Crystal Lohof Whitmore; sister Donna Marie Whitmore; brother Jeff (Tanya) Carter of Sacramento, CA; and numerous extended family members.Leski was born on March 23, 1977 in Great Falls. He graduated from Great Falls High School and became a carpenter, a craft where his true passion and immense talent was immediately obvious. Leski also worked for his dad in the tire business for years. Most recently, he returned to his passion and started RAW Builders with business partner Cliff Rust. They were honored for their workmanship when they won the Peoples Choice Award in the 2016 Parade of Homes.Leski married Crystal Lohof on February 14, 2004. They, along with their sons lived in Dutton, Ulm, Lakeside and Great Falls. They divorced in 2014.Donna Miranda and Leski married on October 30, 2016 in Hawaii; his parents and children, along with Donnas daughters joined them for the wedding.Everyone who knew Leski knew his enthusiasm for hunting and being in the great Montana outdoors. He refused to shave his beard every fall until he brought home an elk. Camping was the highlight of every summer, and his boys were able to spend quality time with him sharing their love of the wilderness. Leskis heart was pure gold. He was generous, kind, funny and loving. He would give someone he loved the world, and he never asked for anything in return. His smile was infectious, and his laugh was contagious.Leski will be deeply missed and his death has left an emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him, and those who loved him were numerous. Our lives are forever enhanced by his life and forever changed by his death.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clarence Phillip Horning and Donna Richardson Horning and his paternal grandparents, Robert Wayne Whitmore and Lana May Whitmore.
