Leonard Storhaug, 87, of Great Falls, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Peace Hospice.A family service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Leonard was born on March 18, 1927 in Alkabo, North Dakota to John and Inga Storhaug. He spent his childhood growing up on the family farm in the Fortuna area. He spent his early years farming with his father and working in the oil fields. Leonard married Myrtle Pasche of Columbus, North Dakota on June 10, 1951 and would have celebrated their 63rd anniversary this year. They had two daughters, Lynette and Laurie.Leonard, Myrtle, and the girls moved to Glasgow, MT where he worked for North American Van Lines. In 1966, they moved to Great Falls where he continued working in moving and storage.He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.Leonard is survived by his wife, Myrtle; daughters Lynette (Duane) Bolender of Great Falls and Laurie (Bill) Mounce of Vancouver, WA; grandchildren Heather (David) Anderson, Joshua (Courtney) Bolender, Eli Mounce, and Benjamin (Beth) Mounce; great-grandchildren Ryder and Teaghan Anderson, MacKenzie Bolender, and Connor Mounce; brother Kenneth of Spokane, WA; numerous nieces and nephews; and special cousin, Marie Strand of Eugene, OR.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Art and Morris; cousin Alvera Glasoe; and other beloved family and friends.
