Lenora "Lennie" Ann (Pfister) Parkins, formerly Hill, age 85, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on July 12, 2024. She was born on July 4, 1939, in Great Falls, Montana.
Lenora graduated from Great Falls High School and continued her education at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT, graduating with a bachelor's in education and science. During her time at MSU, she was active in many clubs and loved being involved with the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. After graduation, she returned to Great Falls and taught at Great Falls High School, West Jr. High, and CMR High School as a Home Economics teacher for 22 years. Lenora opened a crepe restaurant with her former husband, Bill Hill, called French Concoction. In 1981, they moved to Livingston, MT, to manage the Yellowstone Motor Inn. They loved their time living close to Yellowstone Park, and she was a proud member of the community. She relocated with her family to Las Vegas, NV, in 1986, where she worked as a personal chef for Siegfried and Roy, as well as other venues and opportunities. In 1989, Lenora married John Parkins, and they enjoyed many wonderful years together.
In her free time, Lenora loved life and made many lifelong friends. She was happiest when spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling the world and sharing stories of her life. She accomplished her goal of becoming a published author of two books called “Stuffed Cookbook” and “Sarsaparilla and Me.”
She was a loving mother and grandmother, survived by her sons, Mathew Hill and Scott Hill; daughter, Krystal Gibbs; and five grandchildren, Emerson Gibbs, Colin Gibbs, Elliot Hill, Ethan Hill, and Evan Hill. Lenora was preceded in death by her husband, John Parkins (2009). Lenora's kindness, joyful demeanor, ease in making friends, and dedication to her family and friends will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Highland Cemetery.
