Lee Mckechnie

Lee A. Mckechnie, 45, of Great Falls, a retired truck driver, died on Monday, February 13, 2012 at Peace Hospice from lung cancer.A memorial service will be held at Hillcrest Lawn Chapel on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Lee was born in St Louis, Missouri and raised in Apollo Beach, FL. He lived many years in Gulfport, MS. Lee was taken from us too soon. His wife Denise loved him to the depths of her soul. His family and friends loved and cherished him. His gentleness, humor, bravery and strength made an impression on anyone who knew him. He was a kid at heart and a man to the core. He will be sadly missed by all.Survivors include his loving wife Denise of Great Falls; daughter and son-in law Barbara LeAnn and Aaron Miller of Hammond, LA; stepdaughters Jincy Lind and husband Joey of Gulfport MS and Nicole Besler of Alberta, Canada; stepsons Larry Kennedy of Gulfport, MS and Ryan Besler of Alberta, Canada; nephews, Stuart and T.J., both of Gulfport, MS and step grandchildren, Trevor of Gulfport, MS, Tiffany and Kimberly of California.He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann (Stager); father Victor E. Mckechnie; sister Lisa Ann Mckechnie and ex-wife Lillian (Cole).Tributes can be made in Lee's name Lung cancer research through the American Cancer Society, 1903 Central Ave, Billings, MT 59102.
