Leanne Rachel Logan, of Great Falls, passed away on her 67th birthday on October 2, 2014, with her family by her side.A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Sunrise Presbyterian Church. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Crown Hill Cemetery in Cut Bank, Montana. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Leanne was born on October 2, 1947 in Cut Bank, Montana to Orville and Helen Schuette. She attended schools in Cut Bank and graduated from Montana State University in Bozeman with a bachelors degree in nursing. She worked 40 plus years as a nurse in Great Falls at the Great Falls Clinic, many for Dr. Phillips and some as a supervisor. Leanne also had a medical records degree, which she used while working at hospitals across the highline. Leanne married Lance Logan, and after many years they went their separate ways.Leanne was an avid reader, who enjoyed playing the piano and watching her cooking shows. She was a social person that adored her not really dollar night dinners, community concerts, and shopping sprees with friends. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family, creating many memories in Glacier National Park, and gathering the family for games during the holidays.She had a kind, loving, and generous heart. Leanne always saw the good in others and kept her positive attitude during difficult times. These virtues were carried through her nursing career and touched the lives of those that were close to her.Leanne is survived by her sons, Layne Logan and Lucas (Misty) Logan; daughter Lindsey (Cesar) Logan-Olaso; sisters Kristin (Don) Jochems and Orline Vandiest; and three grandchildren, with one on the way.She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Helen Schuette.
