Lawrence Larry Trone, 85, of Great Falls, died on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at his home.A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Eagles Lodge at 3:00 p.m. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Larry was one of ten children born to Maggie Stremmel and Lawrence Trone in Hanover, Pennsylvania. He served in World War II and the Korean conflict, and briefly in the Coast Guard. He received an Honorable Discharge from both wars. He worked at the Great Falls Tribune and various newspapers throughout the US as a sterotyper.He loved the outdoors, camping and fishing, and was a great cook. He also liked to travel, and held many friends. All that knew and loved him will remember him with pride as a patriotic American.He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sharon Trone; three daughters from a previous marriage, Valerie Meyer of Vacaville, CA, Deborah Peters of Federal Way, WA, and Lorrie Overbeck of Big Bear, CA; sister Nancy Swanson of Fox Island, WA; a brother Harold Trone of Littlestown, PA; and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Steven.In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Disabled Veterans, 3633 Veterans Dr, PO Box 189, Fort Harrison, MT 59636.
