Lawrence Larry Dormady, 72, of Great Falls passed away on Saturday May 10th, 2014 of a traumatic brain injury due to a fall.A remembrance of his life will be held at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 1501 9th St. S., 5:30-7:00 p.m., on Thursday May 15th, 2014. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Larry was born on June 3, 1941 in Kevin, MT to Lyle and Pearl Dormady. He was one son to a family of 11 kids.He was married to Mary Ann Lee on June 25th, 1961 on Mary Ann's 18th birthday.He was retired at the time of his death, but he had a productive life of an employee at the Anaconda plant and various jobs until ending his career at Poulsen's Lumber Yard, after a neck injury. He enjoyed his life with his wife after retirement.They traveled to the Bahamas, Mexico and Germany. He was very family oriented, and was always there with support and love. He was a master of conversation, it only took a word and you could talk for an hour with him. He was a master of telling a story and if you heard it once he would tell you again to still enjoy it. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather, sibling and friend to all. He was always willing to help anyone at anytime with anything he possibly could until the time of his death.He was a first aide competitor at the Anaconda Company; they took 1st place. He was an active union member for many years. He and his wife were active at the Eagles Lodge, and earlier in life were members of the Moose Lodge, where they were found often cutting a rug.He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Dormady; his two daughters, Robyn (Ray) Allum, and Barb (Chuck) Rovreit; and son Scott Dormady; his brothers, Donald, Gerry, and Bobby; and one sister, Donna; his grandchildren, Vanessa Lang, Logan and Tanner Rovreit and Troyal and Nikita Dormady; two great grandchildren, Xavyer James Rencurel, and Avery Ana Lang.He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl; father Lyle; and brothers Cleve, Herbert, Howard, Tracy, Bruce, and Clarence.He will be greatly missed by all and forgotten by none.
