Lana Whitaker

Lana Gail Bunton Whitaker, age 66, died peacefully in her home on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from complications of cancer.Lana was born on December 27, 1947 in Havre, Montana to Arthur Jay and Mildred Bunton. She married Wesley Whitaker in 1966. She was a cosmetologist, and then went back to school to get her teaching and counseling degrees.She has touched many lives over the years. Lana loved to garden and cook and was very accomplished at both.Lana will be missed by so many.She is survived by her husband, Wesley Whitaker; sons Jay (Tobe) and Jeff (Stacy) Whitaker; brother Kim Bunton; and grandchildren Danielle, Barbara, Shayne, Sheen, Marshal and Wyatt.She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Bunton.Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a future date.
