Kevin Edward Coates

Kevin Edward Coates passed away on January 9, 2022, at the age of 53. Kevin was born on January 21, 1968, in Great Falls, MT. He was the middle child and only son to Keith and Dorothy Coates. Growing up, he loved to make people laugh and was quite the joker. Many funny stories are shared about Kevin and his love for snakes. He married Dara Stack on May 22, 1993. They had one son, Kennedy Coates. Kevin was a great provider and loved his family. He went to culinary school in Billings, MT. His first job out of college was at the Amigo Lounge, which he managed for many years, and later went to work for Meadow Gold. But his greatest accomplishment was being a grandfather. He adored his grandson Greyson. Kevin was an avid sportsman and lived for hunting season. His favorite hunting place was the Shonkin mountains. He was very kind and had many good friends. He was loved by many. He is survived by his, wife Dara Coates; his son, Kennedy (Katie) Coates; grandson, Greyson Coates; stepson, TJ Allderdice; mother, Dorothy McVicker; and sisters, Denise Naeseth and family, and Deanna Seright and family; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A family memorial will be held on from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, January 17, at the Heritage Inn. A burial will be held at a later date.
